- Lead and manage the Owner’s site team throughout the newbuilding project.
- Represent the Owner at the shipyard and serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities.
- Coordinate with the shipyard, designers, classification society, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule.
- Monitor progress across all disciplines, including hull construction, machinery, electrical systems, hotel outfitting, and commissioning.
- Coordinate inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HATs), sea trials, and final delivery.
- Identify technical issues and risks, develop practical solutions, and support timely decision-making.
- Prepare regular progress reports for project management and senior leadership.
- Foster a strong safety culture and promote effective collaboration among all project partners.

Your profile
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipbuilding, with significant involvement in passenger vessel or cruise ship newbuilding projects.
- Previous experience as an Owner’s Site Team Manager, Site Manager, Superintendent, Newbuilding Manager, or in a comparable leadership role.
- Solid understanding of ship construction, marine systems, hotel outfitting, and commissioning.
- Experience working with international shipyards and classification societies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to relocate to the Nantong Region, China, for the duration of the project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with expedition cruise vessels or other complex passenger ship newbuilding projects.
- Previous experience working in Asian shipyards is considered an advantage.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
